Service Description

Sclerotherapy involves injecting a chemical solution directly into the varicose or spider vein. The solution causes the vein walls stick together and seal shut, stopping the flow of blood. As a result, the vein fades within a few weeks. The full effect and benefit of treatment usually take several weeks. For this reason, we recommend waiting 2-3 weeks in between sclerotherapy treatments. Sclerotherapy is most effective on veins that are small and near to the surface of the skin. Patients often wonder if sclerotherapy will negatively impact their blood circulation. Once the treated vein closes, blood will be redirected to healthy veins in your legs, promoting better circulation. Sclerotherapy is less expensive, faster, and more effective than laser treatment. Sclerotherapy is also better for people with darker skin. Lasers produce light that can cause discoloration in people with tanned skin. What is the success rate of sclerotherapy? In expert hands, close to 90%. Like other technical procedures, the success of the procedure is to a large extent determined by the expertise of the treating health care giver. Nurse Jill has treated 100's of clients for over 25 years that suffer from aching legs and blemish looking legs caused by spider and reticular veins. Cost of treatment 3 - 3cc syringes $450 Do's & Don'ts Following Treatment 1. Avoid hot water, hot baths, hot tubs and saunas for at least two weeks after sclerotherapy to avoid venous dilation. 2.
